Question by Adam: Are off road motorcycles and Motocross Dirtbikes the same thing?
I’m buying a dirtbike soon, and I was wondering what the difference between both of them was. I was looking at motocross bikes on Yamaha and noticed off road motorcycles were the same thing except off road is cheaper.

Offroad motorcycles refers to any bike riden offroad. This even includes ATVs 4 wheelers.
Motocross bikes are made suited for racing and then you have Enduro type bikes which come with headlight etc but still made for offroad but for your trail riding as aposed to track riding with jumps etc…
Thanks

Q&A: Is it illegal to take your vehicle off road in North Carolina?

http://farm2.staticflickr.com/1160/5129787108_8bdf2c51d5

Question by usmc467wife: Is it illegal to take your vehicle off road in North Carolina?
Is it illegal to take a truck off road in North Carolina? My husband got two tickets because he was on a trail off of a road with his vehicle. The ranger said that he was not allowed to be there and wrote him one ticket for destruction of U.S. property and another for going off of an established road. There were no marked signs… ANYWHERE… and I can’t find anything about it being illegal while looking online.

Answer by UCANTCME
The laws are the same for all states and the driver must look for the posted Off-Road Trail Signs which are the same here in Texas…

These signs are posted for all drivers to see but you cannot just drive off any road and go 4-wheeling because you will be fined as your husband did its always best to search out 4-wheel trails in your area before doing this…….

Endicott College Becomes First on North Shore to Offer Doctoral Degree

Endicott College Becomes First on North Shore to Offer Doctoral Degree

Beverly, MA (PRWEB) December 08, 2011

Endicott College President Dr. Richard E. Wylie today announced that on December 6, Endicott College became the first college on Boston’s North Shore to be authorized to award a doctoral degree. Following program endorsement by the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education, Endicott College will award a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership to qualified candidates. The Ed.D. in Educational Leadership will focus on preparing unique leaders for small to mid-size organizations in higher education, non-profit agencies, and schools. Emphasizing Endicott College’s strength, the program will focus on theory, research, and applying these skills to improving organizations.

“Our road to becoming a senior institution has been well planned and structured, and this latest step is one we are very proud of,” said Wylie. “We have stayed true to our mission by focusing on improving quality of life by applying knowledge and experience to the world in which we live, and will continue to do so.”

The College expects the program to begin in the fall of 2012 under the leadership of Dr. Jo Ann Gammel, Director of the Doctoral Program, who will join Endicott in January 2012.

Dr. Wylie acknowledged the leadership of Dr. Mary Huegel, Vice President and Dean of the Graduate School and Dr. Donna Buonopane, Assistant Dean of the Graduate School, as the creators and authors of the new doctoral program. According to Dr. Huegel: “We are pleased and delighted to have received approval of this much needed doctoral degree program. Full credit should be given to the many faculty and administrators who enthusiastically participated over a three-year period in developing program components and course syllabi. It was truly a college-wide effort showing the best of Endicott College.”

In the last 25 years, Endicott College has grown significantly; once a well-regarded but financially struggling institution for women with less than 600 students, Endicott is now a very successful and thriving college with 2,300 students in the undergraduate school and 2,700 adult and graduate students in the School for Graduate and Professional Studies. Endicott College also operates campuses, centers, and programs around the world in the United Kingdom, Spain, Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Mexico. The College offers courses on military bases and on U. S Coast Guard Cutters traveling up and down the East Coast.    These various programs contribute to the College’s goal of creating a high quality mid-sized New England college with a vibrant graduate school that offers programs both on and off campus that meet the needs of professionals.

For more information about the doctoral program, please contact Dr. Mary Huegel at 978-232-2084, or mhuegel(at)endicott(dot)edu.
